After much work, the internal circuitry and firmware has been updated within the LOFI stove to include internal temperature monitoring and active protection. Some of you may have noticed that recent deliveries of the LOFI stoves are marked with MK1.1
The MK1.1 stoves have the new active control board to protect the fan from overheating in more aggressive situations (burning charcoal for example).
With the added protection, it’s been possible to lower the lowest fan speed. Increasing the temperature range of the stove and improving simmering.

Hi when will the stoves next be available for purchase?
Hi Chris,
Stoves will be available again Mid April if all goes well. I’m busy moving to Wales at the moment, and it’s got a little complicated!
Thanks for your patience,
Jonny
Is there an upgrade path for those who have the early model and have experienced some issues with the fan?
Hi Jason,
Unfortunately not. The circuitry is riveted in place. I can do it in house here if you were to return it.
Cheers,
Jonny
The fan on my stove died halfway through a canoe trip. Is it possible to get a replacement fan, preferably with the upgraded circuitry
Hey,
So sorry to hear this. You can get a replacement through the webshop. Or send it back to me and I’ll fix it for you
Drop me an email.
Thanks,
Jonny
I’m in Canada, so it is not really cost-effective to send it back to you. However, I’m not seeing the replacement fans on your site. Also, it would be good if you could offer the entire bottom unit so I could get both fan and updated circuitry
Hi Johnny, I have an issue in that my stove has stopped working. When I plug in the cable there is a quick flash of orange led light then nothing. I’ve tried different cables and power banks and no change. Can you advise please?
Hi Johnny, ignore my previous message, I hadn’t realised the base was removable. Did it, and had a play with the fan and all looks good now.
Hi Mike,
I’m so glad you’ve got it working again. I should make the disassembly videos more accessible on you tube!
Thanks,
Jonny
