After trying out many pairs of secateurs for cutting dead wood, these came up trumps. They’re very light at just 129grams, and they cut through 22mm of seasoned sticks quickly thanks to their clever triple ratcheting action.
The blade is made from SK5 Steel, to keep an edge for longer. There’s a little latch to keep them closed, and a soft-grip handle for comfort.
To keep the weight down these have been made quite small, and as such work well for people with smaller or weaker hands (Larger hands work these with ease too).
The LOFI stove works best with thumb-thickness dry wood, so something like these snips will help keep the stove fueled up easily for longer burns.
