Climbing Helvellyn via Striding Edge with Mary, after a busy weekend with the ABMSAC mountaineering club. Mary was hosting a skill share where members were taught steep ground skills and crevasse traversing and rescue techniques for the summer alpine trip. 

We collected twigs and sticks in the woodlands before starting our accent. At the summit, we started a little fire in the LOFI stove to cook up a cut of tea to go with our lunch – perfect!
